We encourage you to come out and support this rising star as he takes the stage!

Daniel’s musical journey began at the tender age of nine with the piano, but it was at the Waterford Music and Cultural Society (WMCS) Summer Camp that his true passion ignited. Inspired by his saxophone-playing friends, Daniel discovered a love for the instrument’s unique voice.

Fast forward to 2019, and Daniel’s talent was already making waves. He shared the stage alongside the Nicholas Brancker Band and Elan Trotman at the Barbados Jazz Excursion. This was just the beginning, as Daniel went on to perform with some of Barbados’ most celebrated musicians, including Roger Gittens, John Roett, Mikey Mercer, and John Yarde.

Driven by an insatiable love for music, Daniel pursued his education at Harrison College before graduating to the Barbados Community College, where he earned an Associate’s Degree in Music. Now, he’s taking his talents to the next level with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the University of the West Indies.

Daniel’s dedication extends beyond the classroom. In October 2022, he became the first recipient of the prestigious Head Start Music Scholarship to Berklee College of Music. He attended the Berklee summer program in 2023 and was subsequently accepted into their esteemed undergraduate program.

This ambitious young musician is determined to use every opportunity to achieve his dream of becoming one of the greatest saxophonists ever.
