Meet the Headliner: Justin Baird
Born in 1994, Justin Baird is a rising Barbadian jazz and contemporary trombonist and saxophonist. His musical journey began at Harrison College, where he first picked up the trombone at the age of 12. Inspired by jazz and funk greats like Wycliffe Gordon, Trombone Shorty, and Jeff Bradshaw, Justin has developed a unique, vibrant, and energetic sound that captivates audiences.
Justin has performed on major Caribbean and international stages, including:
- St. Kitts Music Festival
- The Tobago Jazz Experience
- St. Lucia Jazz Festival
- Bequia Music Festival
He has also played alongside the legendary Arturo Tappin and YolanDa Brown, showcasing his deep passion for jazz music and his dynamic ability to blend Caribbean and contemporary jazz styles.
